UNIDENTIFIED INSECTS

These are some ladybirds and other insects that I have been unable to identify.  Any assistance would be welcomed!

This was photographed on a bush in Trieste by Nereo Castelli. It is a 'twice-stabbed' ladybird, probably Chilocorus. The only similar British species is the Kidney-spot ladybird but that usually has larger red patches. There are many of these species some of which, such as the American Ch. stigma, are used for biological control.
Various bugs found near Arles in August 2002.
The right clearly nymphal.
These shieldbugs (left) were very common on the Peloponnese July-August 2005, especially on Verbascum at the Langhada Pass.  The mottled bug (right) was abundant in an orchard at Exostis.
